Die Berge sind schon in der Sonne, aber hier unten ist es noch frisch. Was ich gestern vergessen habe aufzuschreiben: Am Ortseingang wurde ich mit einem Schild &#8222;Stadt des Friedens und der nuklearen Abr\u00fcstung&#8220; begr\u00fc\u00dft. Und im Stadtzentrum gibt es ein Partisanen-Denkmal, aber leider auch Aufkleber der Lega Nord. So, jetzt geht&#8217;s gleich los.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mittag: Ich bin schon in Verzo und hab beschlossen, hier eine Stunde zu rasten. Also genug Zeit was zu schreiben. Bis hier waren es gut 50 km. Die ersten gut vierzig davon gingen leicht, hinter Domodossola fingen langsam die Steigungen an. Die Gegend, die von der Schnellstra\u00dfe aus so \u00f6de aussieht, erwies sich doch als nett und beschaulich: kleine D\u00f6rfer mit alten H\u00e4usern, ruhige Stra\u00dfen. Domodossola ist laut Ortsschild auch eine &#8222;Stadt des Friedens&#8220;. Die Angaben sind unterschiedlich &#8211; eigentlich m\u00fcsste ich bald in Iselle und damit an der Schweizer Grenze sein. Das m\u00fcsste dann aber auch b\u00f6se raufgehen.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kurz vor zwei schnell noch einen italienischen Kaffee vor der\nGrenze in Iselle. Es war wirklich heftig (oder &#8222;streng&#8220;, wie die Schweizer sagen): fast immer in der prallen Sonne und immer wieder ziemlich steil (Dabei ist der Simplon einer der sanften P\u00e4sse.). Heute hab ich 75 km und etwa 1200 H\u00f6henmeter in 5 Stunden 12 Minuten zur\u00fcckgelegt. Dass ich die letzten zehn Kilometer \u00fcberstanden habe, liegt sicher daran, dass ich jede Gelegenheit zu einer Verschnaufpause genutzt hab. So hab ich mir das Museum in der &#8222;Alten Kaserne&#8220; angesehen und zwischendurch etliche Fotos gemacht. Aber ich bin froh, dass ich nicht den Ehrgeiz hatte, den Pass heute ganz bis oben zu fahren. Ich bin zwar fit, aber eben nicht unendlich fit. Bei Domodossola haben mich zwei Jungs auf Rennr\u00e4dern mit dicken Rucks\u00e4cken \u00fcberholt &#8211; die sind sicher schon lange in Brig. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-2
